Reimbursed by health insurance
A pediatrician at your home, quite simply.
For pediatric emergencies, a pediatrician will travel to your home in Lausanne and surrounding areas, 7 days a week from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm.
Whether for a fever, vomiting, sore throat, ear pain, cough, skin rash, etc.
Pediatric emergencies: their own room rather than a waiting room
Our pediatric doctors examine children from 0 to 16 years of age directly at home, in their familiar environment. They have the necessary equipment to perform, when the situation requires, certain additional examinations on site.
A fever that spikes at the end of the day, an earache on a Sunday morning: when your child is sick, there's no need to spend hours in a waiting room. Your child is examined at home, without the travel, and a report is sent to their primary pediatrician.
Which pediatric emergencies do we handle?
Our pediatricians travel for common health problems that require a quick consultation:
Fever: assessment of your child's general condition and search for the cause.
Vomiting and diarrhea: checking hydration and appropriate advice.
Sore throat: throat examination and additional examinations on site if necessary.
Ear pain: examination of the ears to detect an ear infection.
Cough: auscultation and assessment of breathing, to rule out bronchitis or pneumonia.
Skin rash: identification of the rash and appropriate management.

Frequently asked questions from parents
From what age and up to what age?
Our pediatricians examine children from 0 to 16 years old.
Is the consultation reimbursed?
Yes. As with our adult consultations, the visit is covered by the basic health insurance, according to the terms of your child's policy (deductible and co-payment).
Should I inform our pediatrician?
No, we will take care of it: a consultation report is sent immediately to your treating pediatrician.
Can the pediatrician perform exams on-site?
Yes. Our pediatricians have the necessary equipment to perform certain additional examinations at home when the situation requires it.
What to do in case of a serious emergency?
If your child is having trouble breathing, loses consciousness, has a seizure, or if you think their life is in danger, call 144 immediately.
Should you go to the emergency room for a fever?
Not necessarily. A fever in a child can often be evaluated at home by one of our pediatricians, who will decide if further examinations are necessary.
